A Life Well-lived…

Life starts

for a child

in the darkness

of the womb

Then,

after the child

is born,

he is initiated into colors,

into flavors, into sunlight,

into rainy days,

into melodies,

into rhythms,

into ever-growing

vastnesses,

The pot of his life

fills with the magic

of life,

Ever-full, it spills

and fills more,

there is no space,

yet there is enough

so that it can fill up

some more…

In the middle of his life,

a phase comes

when he has known this

phenomenon of filling,

when he bows out of it,

and knows he has enough

magic and love

in his pot of life…

Then,

he rejoices in memories,

looks at the pot again and again

With grateful eyes

brimming with tears of experience

and wellness for a life lived well…

Then,

once he is old

and all his hair

have greyed,

when he is like

a snow white

holy man,

he rejoices

in sharing with

people from his pot of life -

his memories

that he cherishes,

and all the colors in his pot

are eager to fill up

more eager

joyously restless pots…

Then,

when he breathes his last,

he is happy that he has

shared all that life

gave him,

that he has completed

one complete circle,

and is ready to go round

on the next one…
